Susan Storm, also known as the Invisible Woman, is a fictional character appearing in Marvel Comics' *Fantastic Four*. She first appeared in *Fantastic Four* #1 (November 1961), created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby.
As a founding member of the Fantastic Four, Susan gained her powers after being bombarded by cosmic rays during an unauthorized space mission. Her abilities primarily involve invisibility and force field projection. Initially, her invisibility was her primary power, but over time, her force field abilities developed to become incredibly powerful, allowing her to protect herself and others, manipulate objects, and even create energy blasts.
Susan is the sister of Johnny Storm, the Human Torch, and the wife of Reed Richards, Mister Fantastic. She is often depicted as the emotional center of the team, providing a sense of stability and compassion alongside her significant powers.
